Haiti Projects, Inc. is a non-profit charitable corporation, founded in 1995 and registered in the state of Massachusetts. It operates in Fond des Blancs, Haiti, a poor, mountainous area 75 miles south west of Port au Prince. Most of the inhabitants of Fond des Blancs live, with their impoverished children, on less than one US dollar a day. The goal of the Haiti Projects is to help people help themselves.
The Green Egg is proud of our affiliation with Cooperative d'Artisanat: A sewing and knitting cooperative that provides work and a stable income for women. Our mission is to bring as much work as we can to the cooperative. The more tees sold, the more salary the women are able to earn. For every tee stitched in our Massachusetts studio, we donate a portion of the proceeds. When purchasing one of our tees you can feel good about helping build a community.
